According to the Texas High School Bowling By-Laws any individual who is over the age of 18 and wishes to participate in High School bowling must complete Safesport Certification. This certification is offered at no cost to any member of USBC. This rule will be strictly enforced for the 2023-2024 High School bowling season. Below is the section of the Texas High by-laws describing the Safesport requirement,

ARTICLE 8 - STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

A. High School students participating in THSBC competition must:

6. Have not turned 20 years of age before August 1st. If a bowler turns 18 years old during the season, he/she must take the U.S. Center of SafeSport certification online course immediately to remain an eligible bowler. The certification course may be taken prior to the 18th birthday.
